Divers got a surprise when a huge submarine passed them at the bottom of the ocean of the coast of Mexico

Having finished in the shipwreck, around 60ft below the Caribbean Sea, the divers were about to continue their journey when they heard an approaching noise.

After a few seconds of looking around for the source, the nose of the submarine comes into view.

As the vessel continues to pass by, diver Troy Knabe captured it passing by clearly making out the name ‘Atlantis’ on the side.

Less than 60 seconds after Troy started filming, the submarine disappears out of shot again. It is not known what the submarine was doing or where it was heading.

The C-53 is a 184ft long Mexican Navy minesweeper that was sunk in June 2000.
