Frilled-Neck Lizard Attacks Man in Outback Australia

Frilled-Neck Lizard Attacks Man in Outback Australia

A budding wildlife photographer had a close call with a frilled-neck lizard after he tried to move the animal to safety, but it turned and chased him.

Ricky Mackenzie, 18, recently spotted a frilled-neck lizard on a dirt road in Western Australia’s Kimberley region and tried to help it out of the way. But the lizard didn’t want his help, and went after him with a ferocity that has to be seen to be believed:

Concerned for its safety, he attempted to herd the lizard to a safer spot – when the reptile confronted him and sent him retreating. Having proved its point, the lizard then moved on.
